Here are a few of the restoration projects I've enjoyed doing over
time. Although, preserving the original "Patina" of a clock is always desired, keeping the original movement, original finish,
dial, etc. Sometimes the condition of the antique clock requires it be restored to when the original "Patina" has become a
distraction. |
An 1880's Kroeber iron case clock in it's finished state after many hours of removing layers of tan paint someone sprayed
on the entire clocks exterior. The original black enamel was salvaged and brought back to life. The header and columns were
refinished by hand, new gold filler was added to the cases scrolling. The badly damaged porcelain dial has been repaired,
numbered and sealed to complete this restoration.
A before and after view of a Seth Thomas "Sucile" that arrived in bad condition after being dropped. The dial pan is
not the original to the clock as it was replaced many years ago.

Seth Thomas "Sonora" with a freshly silvered dial, polished bezel ring and pan. Adamantine case cleaned, repaired and
polished. The 4 bronze bells refinished and tuned, along with both the time and strike movement and chime movement being completely
overhauled.
